Garrett Gonzales and special guest Conrado Pascual dig into Juste Jocyte's positional shift to point guard and debate whether head coach Natalie Nakase is setting up a late-season secret weapon — or just finding reasons to keep Jocyte off the floor. Juste Jocyte has the size, shooting ability, and playmaking skills to be a nightmare matchup at the forward position. She can shoot off the dribble, handle the ball in space, and create for teammates — attributes that scream play-making forward, not traditional point guard. So why is Nakase experimenting with her at the one?
Last Time Out
Valkyries: Golden State fell to the Las Vegas Aces 92-73 on Sunday in their largest deficit of the season — trailing by as many as 28 points. The Valkyries shot just 5-for-30 from three. The Aces had five in double digits, led by Jackie Young's 21 and A'ja Wilson's 19 points and 9 rebounds.
Dream: Atlanta beat the Toronto Tempo 94-87 on Monday for their fourth straight win. Rhyne Howard led the way with 20 points, while Allisha Gray and rookie Madina Okot each added 18. The Dream are 8-2 over their last 10 games.
Angel Reese vs. the Valkyries — A First Encounter
This is the first time the Valkyries have faced Angel Reese since she joined Atlanta. Reese recently became the fastest player in WNBA history to reach 1,000 career points and 1,000 career rebounds — doing it in just 71 games. She's led the league in rebounding in each of her first three seasons and is one of only two players in the WNBA this year averaging a double-double. Containing her on the glass will be the Valkyries' biggest defensive challenge tonight.
