Last Time Out
Valkyries: Golden State topped New York 76-67 on Sunday at Chase Center, holding the Liberty to their lowest-scoring first half of the season. Kaila Charles tied a season high with 13 points off the bench in a win that extended the Valkyries' streak to three straight.
Dream: Atlanta fell 81-76 to Washington on Thursday, blowing a 41-32 halftime lead as the Mystics closed the game on a run behind Shakira Austin and rookie Alicia Florez. Rhyne Howard led all scorers with 24 points, and Angel Reese posted a 13-point, 13-rebound double-double, but it wasn't enough to snap a four-game skid that stretches back to Atlanta's first meeting with Golden State in June.
Gabby Williams Makes History, Dream Look to Snap Skid
Gabby Williams was named a starter for the 2026 WNBA All-Star Game on Thursday — the first in Valkyries franchise history — capping a career year in which she leads Golden State with 15.8 points per game on a career-best 35.3% shooting from three. She'll carry that momentum into a building where Atlanta is desperate to turn things around: the Dream have dropped four straight, a stretch that includes both of June's losses to the Valkyries. Guard Allisha Gray, who exited that June 26 game with an upper-body injury, has been full strength since and is averaging 18.4 points per game — Atlanta's best chance at snapping the skid runs through her and Howard finding room against Golden State's stingy defense.
