Last Time Out
Valkyries: Golden State beat the Indiana Fever 88-75 on July 15, extending their winning streak to a franchise-record eight straight games. Gabby Williams scored 16 points, Kaitlyn Chen added 14 on a perfect 5-for-5 shooting night, and Tiffany Hayes (13), Janelle Salaün (12), and Kayla Thornton (11) all reached double figures.
Mystics: Washington fell 75-56 to the Portland Fire on July 16, shooting just 29% from the field. Shakira Austin led the Mystics with 19 points and nine rebounds, but Washington couldn't find any offensive rhythm in the loss.
Streak Test: Can the Mystics Slow Golden State Down Twice?
The Valkyries enter riding their franchise-record eighth straight win and having just become the second team in WNBA history to sweep a five-game road trip. Washington already saw this Golden State team up close on July 6, falling 62-49 in D.C., and now gets a rematch at Chase Center — the first of two meetings this week before the teams play again on July 20.
