In this episode of We Want Winners — the San Francisco 49ers podcast on BSPN — Rod Adams and Garrett Gonzales react live to Atlanta ending San Francisco’s undefeated season, 29-20, in Week 7.
San Francisco led for most of the first half, but turnovers decided it: Brock Purdy threw a red-zone interception, and a late third-down pick was returned 29 yards by Kendal Daniels to seal it for Atlanta. Michael Penix Jr. threw a touchdown and ran a balanced Falcons offense, Kyle Pitts caught the 300th reception of his career, and Drake London scored despite being evaluated for a concussion mid-game. Christian McCaffrey missed part of the game for San Francisco, and a thin, injury-depleted receiver room made things tougher on Purdy all night. Rod and Garrett break down how the streak ended at 6-1 and what it means going forward.
